General or routine podiatry services include assistance with cutting toenails and removing corns and callouses. Our experienced Podiatrists will also give you advice on footwear, padding and pressure relief insoles to help prevent problems reoccurring.
Diabetes can affect the circulation and nerve function in the feet so it is very important that people with diabetes have their feet checked at least every 12 months and more often if they have difficulty in reaching or seeing their feet.
3D SCANNED CUSTOM ORTHOTICS
Orthotics are specially made insoles that alter the function of the foot when worn. They are used to treat different problems ranging from arch, knee or ankle pain to helping relieve pressure for patient's with foot deformity. Ashwood Podiatry utilises state of the art 3D digital scanning technology to capture accurate measurements and dimensions of the patient's feet. A customised prescription is sent directly to the orthotic lab based on clinical and gait (walking) assessment. The result is an orthotic insole that provides fast relief from symptoms and maximum comfort.
